1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Misfits Verification website or Discord bot. By starting verification, you agree to use the service in accordance with these terms and Discord’s applicable rules.

2. What the service does

The service checks whether a public Bitcoin Ordinals address holds qualifying Misfits or OG Misfits, asks you to sign a message proving control of that address, and applies the Discord roles for which the verified holdings qualify.

The signature request is not a blockchain transaction. The service will never legitimately ask for your seed phrase or private key. Stop immediately and contact a Misfits administrator if anything claiming to be this service asks for either.

3. Your responsibilities

• Use only a wallet you control or are authorised to verify.
• Check that you reached verification through the official The Misfits Discord server and that the domain is misfitsverify.com.
• Review every wallet message before signing it.
• Do not attempt to interfere with, automate abuse of, reverse engineer or bypass the service’s security or eligibility checks.
• Comply with Discord’s terms and all applicable laws.

4. Roles and eligibility

Roles depend on the qualifying holdings detected at the time of verification and during later automatic checks. Roles may be added, changed or removed if holdings, collection rules, Discord membership, technical availability or community requirements change. A role is not property and does not guarantee permanent access, rewards, financial value or participation in any future event.

5. Availability and third parties

The service relies on wallets, the Bitcoin network, Discord, Netlify, UniSat and other third-party systems. Verification may be delayed, unavailable or inaccurate when those services experience errors, rate limits or changes. We may suspend or update the service for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

6. No financial advice or custody

The service provides holder verification only. Nothing on the site or in a resulting Discord role is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, an offer, or a promise of value. We do not take custody of wallets or assets and are not responsible for blockchain transactions you choose to make outside the verification process.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without a guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and The Misfits is not responsible for indirect losses or losses caused by third-party services, user error, compromised devices or interactions outside the official verification flow.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information the service processes and how it is used.

9. Support, reports and changes

Report suspected misuse, security issues or verification problems to a Misfits administrator through the official The Misfits Discord server. We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means the updated terms apply to future use.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you remain unaffected.
